Backcountry Rescue Institute, a non-profit organization, provides medical and rescue education that is geared for unconventional settings (ie wilderness, disaster). Our curriculum is transferable and will change the way you look at outdoor medicine.
Wilderness medicine courses offered by BRI are certified by Wilderness Medical Associates International. Established over 30 years ago, WMA International has since made it's name as the industry leader. WMA International does not deviate from mainstream arbitrarily, but they are not afraid to do so when necessary. With this three years certification, your staff will also gain the skills and knowledge to assess and manage emergency medicine. With our assessment plan, students are able to make judgement calls, sparing your organization time and expensive resources.
