Instructor
Gabe is a water person, either frozen or liquefied. Just add gradient, that’s all it
takes. When not paddling, he is thinking about it. Although that takes up the
majority of his time, he is a WEMT and one of the trainers for Northstar EMS and
its Backcountry Medical Response Team in the northwestern mountains of Maine.
He also helps out as an instructor / guide / medical officer for eNRG Kayaking, an
international adventure travel company and is a lead instructor for Wilderness
Medical Associates. He has worked for different outfits on both coasts of the US
and has come to find that northern New England has just the right mix of weather
to keep him happy.
Hobbies:
Whitewater kayaking, surf kayaking, freestyle kayaking, downriver kayaking,
teaching kayaking, swimming, diving, snorkeling, free diving, tubing, canoeing,
sailing, alpine skiing, teleskiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowtubing,
snowshoeing.
Certifications:
WEMT-B, NREMT-B, swiftwater rescue technician and instructor, ACA Advanced
